Chapter 10 on 'Writers in Residence' where my work with the Bradford Little Theatre in Pennsylvania is discussed as a primary example of how playwrights can work with community theaters as a means to prepare and have actors perform their work in preparation for larger venues. My play Heart-Beat had its first reading and two years later the world premiere performance in the context of the initial visit as Playwright in Residence at the Bradford Little Theatre.
